About the fate of Netley Abbey

I'm wondering about the fate of Netley Abbey, Southampton.

I just came across this Blogger site and read a blog by Richard London Traveller mentioning how the Abbey is closed all the time except sundays!

Is this true? I know my mum will be distressed about this, as am I. It's a lovely place and we were worried about the place when we last visited the area, just over a year ago. My mum grew up in Netley so the Abbey is quite close to her heart.

I hope this is not the case; we found the place unlocked so I'm wondering what has happened in a year...
